Power Crit Feedback

On Friday we were put into groups of 6 for power crits. Each of us was given 4 minutes to present our research and ideas for the Alphabet Soup paired work so far. I was not as confident as I had hoped to be as I began to doubt my research methods so far. After each 4minutes we were given feedback from our tutors and the rest of the group. I found this useful as I was unsure on how I wanted to approach my final idea. Three main points of feedback I received were:

1. The examples of Neville Brody's typographic style is similar to the typeface found on old russian camera posters. It could be really interesting to look into this further and try to find a way to incorporate this as a new idea.

2. Manipulation of typefaces. In order to gain a better understanding of what I think works visually and what doesn't, I need to push my development further. Neville Brody's style already resembles how I interpret Ant's personality and interests. He is experimental, usually incorporating a wide variety of skills. I need to experiment more with manipulation of typefaces to reflect Ants personality.

3. Remain with the two favourite typefaces, they have a lot of visual quality. Try experimenting with a combination of scale, form and layout.
